Aug 10, Colombo: A meeting chaired by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to solicit contributions for the completion of the final phase of Kothmale Maha Saya, was held at the Temple Trees yesterday evening.

Business tycoon Mr. Indra De Silva made a donation on behalf of the business community to the proposed fund, which has risen to Rs.5 million.

Ven. Alle Gunawansa Nayaka Thero and Mahasanga, Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayaka, Minister Naveen Dissanayake, Mrs. Srima Dissanayake and Mayantha Dissanayake were also present.
