Apr 30, Colombo: A French economic and trade mission is now in Sri Lanka to examine investment opportunities in the country.

The French embassy in Colombo said the mission, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka-France Business Council (SLFBC) and the Association of Franco-Ceylonese Technologists (AFCT), organised a programme for the visitors on 26-27 April, coinciding with the annual regional meeting of the French Economic Counselors from the SAARC region.

The SLFBC and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce also initiated a roundtable discussion with the visiting delegation of French businessmen and trade advisors, followed by a meeting with the Sri Lankan Minister of Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion and the Chairman of the Board of Investment, to brief the delegation on the investment and business opportunities in Sri Lanka.
