Sept 08, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has opened new road projects for tsunami affected areas in Matara, Weerawila, Wellawaya, Siyabalanduwa, and Karaitivu.

Mr. Rajapaksa is pictured here opening the Thanamalwila Road Project earlier today. Parliamentary Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara, Ministers Jeyaraj Fernandopulle, A.H.M. Fowzie and Jagath Pushpakumara, Asian Development Bank Vice President Mr. Liqun Jin, and the new World Bank Country Director for Sri Lanka, Ms. Naoko Ishii, were also present.
