Sept 21, New York: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa maintained a busy schedule of meetings in New York City yesterday. In addition to addressing the 61st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Rajapaksa also held several meetings on the sidelines.

The Sri Lankan President addressed the 61st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Sri Lankan First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa met United States First Lady Laura Bush at a luncheon hosted by Mrs. Nane Annan, wife of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
President Rajapaksa is pictured in a group photograph with other G11 leaders before the G11 meeting. In addition to Sri Lanka, the group includes Croatia, Ecuador, Georgia, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Paraguay, and Tunisia.
G11 leaders took part in a roundtable meeting.
First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa joined other first ladies at the luncheon hosted by Mrs. Annan.
President Rajapaksa addressed the Asia Society of New York.
