Oct 25, Colombo: The Sri Lanka Army's Singha Regiment celebrated its 50th anniversary last night at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo.

Chief Guest President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa were received by Army Commander Sarath Fonseka.

The Army Commander presented a memento to the President to mark the anniversary.

Mr. Rajapaksa met current and retired service personnel during the evening.
