Oct 02, Colombo: Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga and staff of Sri Lanka's Presidential Secretariat took the Environmental Pledge for the Parisara Sathiya Programme today at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa meanwhile visited the Rathgama Electorate yesterday, where he had discussions with local residents.

The President also opened the new "Budhu Madhura" at Vajiragiri Viharaya in Thangalle yesterday. Minister of New Railroad Development Mahinda Amaraweera and Viharadhipathi Ven. Mirisse Dhammawansa Thero are also in the picture.
