* Central Bank of Sri Lanka introduces new Rs. 2000 note

Oct 17, Colombo: Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor of Sri Lanka's Central Bank, handed over the new Rs. 2000 note to President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at the Presidential Secretariat.

Deputy Governor Dr. Ranee Jayamaha, Assistant Governor Rose Cooray, and Superintendent of Currency A. Jeewandara are also in the picture.
