Oct 01, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa met "Parisara Niyamuwo" at Temple Trees in observance of World Environment Day. The government has declared 1-7 October as Parisara Week.

Student Chamath Dilsan meanwhile handed over the first World Children's Day stamp to President Rajapaksa at the World Children's Day function held at Temple Trees today. Minister of Child Development and Women's Empowerment Sumedha G. Jayasena is also in the picture.

Minister Jayasena observed as student Proboda Kumari pinned the first World Children's Day flag on President Rajapaksa.
