Dec 29, Colombo: President Mahinda Rajapaksa addressed Ministers, Secretaries, and Pradeshiya Sabha Members yesterday on the goals and plans for the Jathika Saviya Programme 2007. The large meeting was held at Temple Trees in Colombo.

The Jathika Saviya accelerated development programme aims to improve living standards and provide adequate security to villagers affected by conflict in the country's North and East.
