Dec 23, Colombo: Northern province Governor Mohan Wijewickrama yesterday took oaths as the Governor of Sri Lanka’s Eastern province before President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

President Rajapaksa made this new appointment following a Supreme Court decision to de-merge the North and East provinces.
