Aug 31, Colombo: Visiting Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa met British Prime Minister Tony Blair at his Holiday Bungalow in Buckinghamshire today and discussed the current situation in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka's President's office said that during the meeting with the British Premier the visiting President was to discuss issues related to Sri Lanka's faltering peace process.
Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and several other government officials also joined the President for today's meeting with Mr. Blair. President Rajapaksa is also scheduled to meet senior British government officials as well.
Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera, President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga, Director General of Peace Secretariat Dr. Palitha Kohona, President's Additional Secretary Gamini Senarath and High Commissioner in UK Mrs. Kshenuka Senewirathne also accompanied the President.
