  Sri Lanka election monitor to watch for bribing voters during silent period

Nov 15, Colombo: Sri Lanka election monitor Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) says it will pay special attention to bribing voters during the presidential election, Acting Executive Director of the organization Ahmed Manas Makin said.

Speaking at a workshop held in Ratnapura today, Manas Makin said the silent period before Saturday's presidential polls is peaceful when compared to the previous presidential elections. He said that 735 complaints had been lodged with his organization during the pre-election period.
