Feb 24, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed the officials to implement a program to control soaring vegetable prices to provide relief to consumers while safeguarding farmers.

During a meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat, today (24) with the officials of the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and the Ministry of Trade the President said that there should be an immediate intervention to control rising prices of vegetables which has led to an increase in cost of living.
